After reviewing my finances for the month of February, I decided to embark on a 30 day no spend challenge in the month of march 2022 .
This challenge is where I attempt to survive for the next 30 days spending on nothing at all !!!! well except on essentials (most of which are pre-planned).
Before I embarked on this 30 days no spend journey , i did the following:
Analysed how much i spend in a month (looked back over my last 3 months of bank statements and took an average )
Created a budget plan for the month
Created a list of my monthly essential expenses
Asked myself this question .. "Mamie what would you like to achieve by completing this challenge ?"
My goal in all of this is to get some clarity on how much money I spend on unnecessary things , how easy (or not ) it is not to spend on non-essentials and to also save some money at the same time .
A no spend challenge should reflect the areas you struggle with. For example, i know my weakness is Food !!! ... takeaways, eating out, junk food and the likes. I know cutting back on my food addiction going to be hard, however my motto and motivational speech to myself is .. "where there is a will, there is a way" . Right ??
